About Robin Hood

Robin Hood is a popular figure from English folklore, a legendary character living in medieval times robbing the rich to pay the poor. He had a band of 'merry men', including Friar Tuck, Little John, Will Scarlet and Much the Miller's son. Maid Marrion was usually portrayed as Robin's love interest.

Robin Hood lived in Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire and was a supporter of King Richard the Lionheart. While the king was away at the crusades Prince John ruled. Robin's enemies were the Sheriff of Nottingham and Guy of Gisbourne.
